Drain Valve of the Brew Group, Pistons and Riser Tube. If the empty grounds symbol lights up for a few seconds and then the machine powers off, the Brew Group failed to properly position itself. Refer to Error 8 for a detailed explanation. If coffee is not dispensing and emptying into the Drip Tray, then the seals may need to be replaced or the Stepper Motor may be malfunctioning.
