If your machine arrives at our facility in a condition that cannot be repaired, as deemed by our technicians, your Jura espresso machine will be returned within 7 business days. This is an extenuating circumstance that occurs only if the machine is not properly packaged and damaged during inbound shipping, parts required for the repair are no longer available or our technicians deem the repair cost exceeds the true market value of the machine. Please follow our packaging instructions while packaging your Jura. We do not insure inbound shipments; it is up to the client to properly secure his/her espresso machine with enough packing materials to make for safe transit. Our shipping department ensures that all machines leaving our facility are packaged within the guidelines set forth by FedEx. Please read this entire page to clarify the most ideal packing procedures.

SERVICE OVERVIEW

Jura Capresso-Impressa coffee machines were built to last; however, your machine will need a tune-up from time-to-time. The brew group may become sluggish (Error 8) or your espresso may not be as strong as it once was, which indicates the grinding burrs may need to be replaced. These are unavoidable maintenance issues, regardless of the amount of cleaning and descaling cycles you run. We offer a comprehensive Jura repair and refurbishing service to get your machine operating at its peak capacity, again. Our flat fee service includes shipping to our facility, return shipping to the customer, all parts required for full functionality, labor and a 90-day warranty**. Excludes Electronic Boards and broken External Housing parts irrelevant to the full functionality of the machine.

JURA REPAIR SERVICE DETAILS

  • Brew Group Refurbishing

Over time, brew group seals will swell, dry or crack, which prohibits the brew group from returning to the home position or creating an air tight seal to build the proper amount of pressure to brew. If the brew group fails to return to the home position, or is unable to begin the brew process, an "error 8" message will appear. Furthermore, mold often accumulates around the drain valve and sometimes around the brew cup. For this reason alone, the machine should be serviced every 1-2 years. We fully disassemble the brew group to clean and sanitize the components, lubricate appropriate moving parts and replace every seal.

  • Grinder Maintenance

Excess coffee grounds can compact in the grinder, preventing the optimum amount of coffee from entering the Brew Group. In addition, most machines we service have dull burrs after years of use. The result is weak, flavorless Espresso. We disassemble the grinder to clear out all the excess coffee, replace burrs (in every machine) and lubricate the O-Ring seal.

  • Water Circuit Maintenance

All water contains microscopic minerals, which accumulate over time causing blockages and o-rings to deteriorate. We visually check every PTFE hose, remove the grommet (metal insert) and flush the hose with compressed air. Then, we replace and lubricate every seal in the water circuit.


  • Descaling and Cleaning

The final phase of our service involves Descaling and Cleaning the machine to ensure the coffee and steam thermoblocks are not clogged. Also, we clean the interior and exterior of the machine. We remove the coffee dispensing spout to clean and sanitize it. Excess coffee grounds accumulate in the spout, as well as, the brew group. The moisture and coffee grounds create the perfect environment for bacteria and mold growth.

  • Service Time
Normally, our turnaround time is 5-7 business days. Although it is rare, electrical problems or part availability may increase this turnaround time; however, the customer will be notified about any delay within 3 business days.


JURA REPAIR COSTS
The labor rates vary depending on the model. The rates reflect the average cost to repair each specific model, which is calculated by the price and quantity of parts contained inside the specific models and the total labor involved in repairing the machine. (i.e. a S9 contains twice as many hoses and seals as an E8)

SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT

REPAIR FORM
Complete and submit the repair form to schedule a service appointment. A customer service representative will email you a prepaid FedEx label to the address you provide for you to ship your machine to our facility. Print this label and place it on the box after your machine is packaged. There will be instructions attached to the email containing the label on where to drop off your machine or to schedule a pick-up.



PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS

It is imperative to properly package your machine. Espresso Yourself will not insure in-bound machines, as we cannot ensure the machine is properly packaged. It is the customer's responsibility to purchase insurance, if desired. If insurance is not attached to the shipment, it is the customer's responsibility to file a claim with FedEx to be compensated for any damages while the parcel was in the possession of FedEx. Espresso Yourself will aid in the process of the claim by providing pictures of the box, damages the machine sustained and any additional documentation needed to file the claim; however, Espresso Yourself will not share in the expense of the damages in the form of credit, compensation or any expense incurred during the claim process.

FedEx will package your machine for a fee at a branch location. You must provide the representative with these packing instructions to absolve yourself of any liability.

1. Use a 18x18x18 or 20x20x20 Heavy Duty or Certified Double Walled Box. A Singled Walled Box is not sufficient. DO NOT USE THE ORIGINAL JURA BOX.

2. Tape all seams of the bottom of the box: 3 pieces of tape sealing the center; 1 piece of tape across the top of each side seam; 1 piece of tape along the edge of each side seam.

3. Place a layer of packing peanuts on the bottom of the box.

4. Place a layer of bubble wrap over top the packing peanuts at the bottom of the box.

5. Wrap the entire machine with bubble wrap. Removing the drip tray and wrapping it separately may make this part easier.

6. Place machine in the center of the box, making sure it is not contacting any of the box walls.

7. "Make a box, inside the box": Roll up bubble wrap into "pillars." Place these "pillars" upright on all 4 corners of the box. This will help stabilize the machine in the center of the box.

8. Use "filler" (i.e. packing peanuts) to further stabilize the machine in the center of the box. Stuff the packing peanuts down in between the machine and box walls to create a buffer zone.

9. Tape all seams of the bottom of the box: 3 pieces of tape sealing the center; 1 piece of tape across the top of each side seam; 1 piece of tape along the edge of each side seam.

10. Place prepaid printed FedEx label on box.


PAYMENT OPTIONS

We accept several payment methods.

  • You may send a check for the total amount with your machine. The check must be issued to "Espresso Yourself." We will evaluate the machine and contact the customer before we deposit the check. If the check bounces, the customer will be responsible for all fees associated with the failed transaction prior to the machine being released. Note: This method ensures the quickest turnaround time.
  • You may pay with a Debit card over the phone. We consider a "Debit Card" to be a card linked directly to a checking account and does not act as a credit card in any capacity.
  • You may pay with a credit card via a secure electronic invoice; however, there is an additional $20 transaction fee.



DOMESTIC SHIPPING POLICY

If you choose to ship us your machine for repair, we will email you a prepaid FedEx shipping label. You will receive FedEx shipping instructions with the label, which detail how to locate the closest FedEx drop off location. FedEx and small packaging stores will pack the machine for you (fees vary); however, please provide the representative with our packaging instructions and insist your machine is packaged according to our guidelines. Unfortunately, it has been our experience that most packaging stores do not properly pack these machines. For that reason, we do not insure in-bound machines. It is the customer's responsibility to purchase insurance, if desired. If a machine is damaged during return shipping to the customer, Espresso Yourself will file a claim with FedEx, email the customer a prepaid return label within 7 business days and repair/replace damaged parts.

WARRANTY
These Terms & Conditions govern the service of repair by Espresso Yourself. Espresso Yourself will service your Jura coffee machine as described and for the charges shown on the Work Authorization, plus any applicable tax. When the service is covered by Espresso Yourself’s warranty, extended service contract or consumer warranty law, those terms or applicable law will apply. Espresso Yourself understands that your saved preferences may be valuable to you. Data loss during service is always a possibility, and in some cases, be unrecoverable, erased, or reformatted during service. Espresso Yourself is not responsible for loss, recovery, or compromise of data, software, or loss of use of your product or other equipment arising out of the services provided by Espresso Yourself. If service is needed due to failure of parts that are not original to the machine or due to damage caused by abuse, misuse or any external cause, failure to properly maintain the machine in accordance with our recommended cleaning procedures, Espresso Yourself reserves the right to return the machine to you without servicing it, and may hold you responsible for any indicated diagnostic fee. Espresso Yourself will not be responsible for any damage to the product that occurs during the repair process that is a result of any unauthorized modifications or repairs or replacements not performed by Espresso Yourself. If damage results, Espresso Yourself will seek your authorization for any additional costs for completing service even if the machine is covered by warranty. If you decline authorization, Espresso Yourself may return your machine in the damaged condition without any responsibility. If service requires labor and/or parts not specified on the Work Authorization, Espresso Yourself may seek your approval of a revised estimate. If you do not agree Espresso Yourself may revise the charges, Espresso Yourself may return your machine and hold you responsible for any indicated diagnostic fee.

Espresso Yourself may use parts that are new or equivalent to new in reliability and performance. Espresso Yourself will retain the replaced part that is exchanged as its property, and the replacement part will become your property. Replaced parts are generally repairable and may be exchanged or repaired by Espresso Yourself for value. If applicable law requires Espresso Yourself to return a replaced part to you, you agree to pay Espresso Yourself the additional cost of the replacement item. When the machine is received by the designated transportation carrier, Espresso Yourself relinquishes all liability for any damaged, lost or stolen machines during transportation to or from our facility.

Espresso Yourself warrants for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of service (1) that service will be performed in a competent and workmanlike manner and (2) that all parts used to service your product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, unless otherwise specified by Espresso Yourself. The foregoing warranty is an express limited warranty and in the event of breach, Espresso Yourself will either (i) re-perform the service, (ii) repair or replace the faulty part, or (iii) refund the cost of the service provided. In order to claim under the warranty you must return your machine to our location, at your expense.

THIS WARRANTY AND ASSOCIATED REMEDIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES, AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. ESPRESSO YOURSELF SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF ESPRESSO YOURSELF CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES, THEN ALL SUCH WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ESPRESSO YOURSELF, WILL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM SERVICES PROVIDED OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF REVENUE; LOSS OF ACTUAL OR ANTICIPATED PROFITS (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS ON CONTRACTS); LOSS OF THE USE OF MONEY; LOSS OF ANTICIPATED SAVINGS; LOSS OF BUSINESS; LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY; LOSS OF GOODWILL; LOSS OF REPUTATION; OR ANY COSTS OF RECOVERING, PROGRAMMING, OR RESTORING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA STORED OR USED WITH YOUR MACHINE. THE FOREGOING LIMITATION SHALL NOT APPLY TO DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS. ESPRESSO YOURSELF SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT IT WILL BE ABLE TO (i) REPAIR OR REPLACE YOUR MACHINE WITHOUT RISK TO OR LOSS OF DATA. IF ANY MACHINE SHOULD BE DAMAGED OR LOST WHILE IN ESPRESSO YOURSELF’S CUSTODY, ESPRESSO YOURSELF’S LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE COST OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE AFFECTED MACHINE. OTHERWISE, ESPRESSO YOURSELF’S LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGE SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE PAYMENTS RECEIVED BY ESPRESSO YOURSELF FOR SERVICES PROVIDED PURSUANT TO THESE TERMS. THE REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES FOR ANY BREACH BY ESPRESSO YOURSELF UNDER THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

If you have not claimed your machine and paid all charges due within thirty (30) days after being notified by Espresso Yourself that your machine has been serviced, Espresso Yourself will consider your machine abandoned and may dispose of your machine in accordance with applicable law.
